By implementing Restore, merchants can include a carbon offsetting fee from either the delivery or entire lifecycle of their shoppers’ purchases, allowing the shopper a chance to fund high-quality climate action projects, such as protecting forests, generating renewable energy and supporting local communities with environmental training and education.
Out-of-the-box sustainability
We built an in-house carbon emission calculator which presents a carbon fee using an extensive database provided by our trusted sustainability partner, South Pole. The database sends information on the carbon emitted during the delivery and production of the goods the shopper is purchasing, then we translate the total emissions into a monetary value and send that back to the checkout, in a matter of milliseconds.
